Monart - Ocean City Maryland

A class for 3.5 and 4 year olds that encourages visual perception and eye hand coordination skills. Students will learn the visual recognition of the 5 Elements of Shape and how to use them in the recognition of the Alphabet, the Numbering system, the Drawing of their own name, and simplistic drawings of creatures from nature. Games that incorporate the use of crafts, music, and movement will teach proficiency in following directions and achieving pre-drawing and reading readiness skills. Curriculum lasts 2 years so your child will not repeat projects in each of the semesters they attend.

An introduction to representational drawing geared to the attention span and motor coordination of a 4.5 to 6 year old (If younger than 4.5, we recommend our Pre K Class). Students work on their ability to recognize the elements of shape and combine them in drawing the creatures from nature and objects from their world. Curriculum lasts 2 years so your child will not repeat projects in each of the semesters they attend.

Winter Mini Monart Workshop. Themed workshops available 12/28, 12/29, 12/30. (please register for each day) This is a great opportunity for both new students and current students to experince new Monart drawing lessons and fun exciting crafts during winter break! Come for just one, two or all three days! Classes are 2 hours and cost $25 per day. For new students and students that are up for registration renewal, there is an annual $10.00 registration fee that is good for a whole year for any future Monart courses/classes. This will only be applied to the first workshop you register for. New projects daily and all art materials are included. Ages 5-8 will have drawing and crafts and 9-12 will focus on drawing. A class for 8-12 year olds who have achieved the skill level of working independently on projects, rarely needing a step by step demonstration by the teacher. Geared for the student who has mastered the basic skills in line, shape, proportion, perspective, and the ability to create volume through light logic, using 3 dimensional objects. Can stay focused and concentrated for a 2 hour class and is confident enough to explore various subject matter and live models with comfort. Curriculum lasts 2 years so your child will not repeat projects in each of the semesters they attend. Prerequisite: Drawing Fundamentals.

An Independent Study class for Teens and Adults, that ranges from students with no experience to ones who have fairly good basic drawing skills. Will introduce the student to all subjects, media, and styles of drawing and painting.
